https://radiko.jp/share/?sid=CCL&t=20250311050000

Every 2nd week of the month, our program gives a friendly and easy-to-learn Filipino lesson. We dedicate the program to all who would like to learn the Filipino language, particularly to those of Filipino descent.

Key Words (MARCH 2025):
Balat kalabaw – not sensitive, inconsiderate
Balat – skin (肌)
kalabaw – water buffalo (水牛)

C: Huwag mong intindihin. Kasama naman natin si Direk. Isang grupo naman tayo.
N: Oo nga. Baka akalain kasi nila, balat kalabaw tayo.

Dialog in English (MARCH 2025):
C: Neriza, thanks for queuing for me at the check-in counter.
N: I arrived early and I saw that there were many passengers so I thought of queuing for you as well.
C: Is that so?
N: Yes. Come on before the line gets longer.
C: Wait!
N: Your baggage seems heavy.
C: I brought some carabao-shaped trophies, which were carved by Dennis.
N: What are they for?
C: They are donations of Dennis for the Carabao race in Pampanga
N: Are they not heavy?
C: You tell me!
N: You will surely pay a lot!
C: That’s exactly what I’m worried about.
N: Hey, isn’t the man carrying a white suitcase at the end of this line Direk!
C: Yeah ... it’s him ... Direk, Direk, do cut in line between Neriza and I!
N: Cindy, the man wearing a leather jacket behind you looks angry!
C: Don’t mind him! Direk is with us. We are a group.
N: Yeah. They might think we are inconsiderate.
