Filipino Lesson August 2025[8.7 thu]

Every first broadcast of the month, our program gives a friendly and easy-to-learn Filipino lesson. We dedicate the program to all who would like to learn the Filipino language, particularly to those of Filipino descent.

N: Cindy, Bakit kayo nahuli? Tapos na ang parada.
C. Naligaw ako sa expressway.sa hangganan ng Sakai at Izumisano.
N: Ang layo naman! Sa kotse mo pa naman nakasakay ang nga artista.
C: Nahiya nga ako pero mababait naman sila. Siyanga pala, paano kayo nagpunta rito?
N: Sumakay lang kami ng tren kasi gusto ng mga anak ni Atsuko na mauna sa pila doon sa puwesto ng Halo-halo.
C: Nasaan sila?
N: Ayun, tingnan mo, Naaaliw sa traysikel.
C: Ahh , sila ba ang sakay ng traysikel?
N: Oo! Halika na sa food truck ng litson. Baka maubos na !

Dialog in English (AUGUST 2025):
N: Cindy, why were you late? The parade is over!
C: I got lost on the expressway! I reached the boundary of Sakai and Izumisano.
N: That’s too far! To think that the actors and actresses were riding with you!!
C: I was so embarrassed, but they were very kind. By the way, how did you come here?
N: We took the train because Atsuko’s children wanted to be first in queue for halo-halo booth.
C: Where are they?
N: There. They are enjoying the tricycle!
C: Oh… so they are the passengers of the tricycle.
N: Yes, come on, Let’s go to the lechon food truck! It might be sold out soon!
