featuring music album of OPM. It is Jay R's
The Jay R Songbook released in 2015.
Jay R, king of R&B, is a Filipino-American
singer-songwriter. In 2003, he released his
debut album, Gameface. The album was
certified Platinum by the Philippine
Association of the Record Industry (PARI),
receiving numerous awards and earning him
the #1 single, "Bakit Pa Ba."

C: Naku, ganyan nga ang istorya! Gawin na
natin ang mga parol.
N: O, heto ang gunting. Gupitin mo ang
mga makikisap na papel!
C: Ang purol naman ng gunting!

C: Neriza, I’ve been calling you since
yesterday. Why didn’t you respond?
N: I’ve been making lanterns. I’m using
the bamboos given by Mr. Maeda from
Gose?
C: Oh, yes ... So, you still have many of
those. I’ll help you.
N: Thanks. We have to make 100 lanterns.
C: So many! Where are you going to use it?
N: We are giving it away to the Filipinos
who will attend the meeting at the
Philippine Overseas Labor Office.
Many of them won’t be able to go home
this December. The new Disney
Commercial featuring Christmas in the
Philippines will be shown, too!
C: It’s a big hit now . I cried at the scenes
showing our traditions at Christmas.
N: Me too! I remembered the Cinderella
doll that my grandmother gave as
a Christmas present!
C: Hey, that sounds like the story! Hurry up,
let’s begin making the lanterns!
N: Oh, here’s the pair of scisssors. Please
cut the shiny papers.
C: This pair of scissors isn’t sharp at all!!!

in 1996.
They were originally formed as a duo by
Barbie Almalbis and Ricci Gurango. After
releasing their first self-titled album,
Franklin Benitez joined.
In 1998, Gurango left the band. With
Gurango's assertion of rights to the band's
name, Almalbis and Benitez renamed the group
to Barbie's Cradle.

temple. Kumukuha ng tubig sa balon!!
N: Magtanong tayo sa kanya ng direksyon.
Ayyy ... May palakang tumalon sa balon!!!!

N: The boxes are full, Cindy . We have a lot
of fruits — grapes and oranges. Let’s go
to Gose for our WORKCATION!
C: The zigzag road is like Baguio. And it’s
quite cold too!Neriza, where shall we turn?
N: Turn left, then turn right and go straight
until you reach a big waterfall. After
crossing the wooden bridge, turn left again.
C: The roads are too narrow here. I can’t see
any waterfall yet . Maybe, we lost our way!
N : And no phone signal too!!
C: No car navigation, too! Look there’s a
Buddhist monk in front of the temple.
He is getting water from the deep well!
N: Let’s ask him for directions ....Oh ...

Parang Isang malaking “painting“ ang
natatanaw mula sa tunnel na ito.
Kulay ginto ang palay sa bukid, Kulay
Kahel ang mga dalandan at kulay berde
ang mga dahon ng gulay.
C: May kamote at kangkong rin. Humingi
tayo ng dahon ng kamote!
Masustansya iyon.
N: Pero, hindi dahon ang kinakain ... talbos
lang!

N: Cindy, this is indeed an unusual trip!
C: Of course, work and pleasure!
N: There are many grapes, oranges and
chestnut farms for fruit picking.
C: I brought some boxes so that we can
have enough containers. If not, we
must pay for the plastic bags!
N: That’s right! Oh my ... the scenery is
so beautiful. The view from this tunnel
is like a big painting. The golden rice
grains in the farms, the orange color
of the mandarin oranges and the green
vegetable leaves!
C: There are sweet potatoes and water
spinach leaves, too! Let’s bring home
the sweet potato leaves.
N: But we don’t eat the leaves .... only the
young sprouts !!!
