From Overseas India - Bharat Ki Dharkan is a Hindi/English program broadcasting every Sunday morning from 5 to 6 hotsted by DJ Sunny Francis.

In this week's edition, Sunny pays tribute to KK, a great playback singer who died on 31/May. KK began his career by singing advertisement jingles, and made his film debut with an A.R. Rahman soundtrack.

In 1999, he launched his debut album titled Pal. The songs "Pal" and "Yaaron" from the album Pal became very popular and are commonly used in school farewells.

His popular songs included "Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se" (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, 1999), the Tamil song "Apadi Podu", "Dola Re Dola" (Devdas, 2002), "Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai" (Woh Lamhe..., 2006), "Aankhon Mein Teri" (Om Shanti Om, 2007), "Khuda Jane" (Bachna Ae Haseeno, 2008), "Piya Aaye Na" (Aashiqui 2, 2013), "India Wale" (Happy New Year, 2014) and "Tu Jo Mila" (Bajrangi Bhaijaan, 2015).

In this week's edition, Sunny introduces 16 Indian celebrities who lost their lives in the second wave of coronavirus. Not only the common man but celebrities including A-listers like Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan among others got infected. Some of them were lucky who recovered, but several others lost the battle to the deadly virus.
