From this April, we are picking-up
a word alphabetically every month
that has various meanings with
different pronunciation.

A Word to learn this month is "eksamen".

<<<Key Words>>>

eksamen... to examine or check

<<<Dialogue>>>

N: Hayy, salamat. Tapos na rin ang
      eksamen ng mga estudyante ko!

C: Siguradong marami kang i-tsetsek
      na mga papel.

N: Kaunti na lang kasi, Ineksamin ko
lang ay ang pagsasalita nila sa Filipino.

C: Mas mainam nga siguro ang eksamen
sa pagbigkas, kaysa pagsulat. Madali pa!

N: Mahirap din dahil kailangang isaulo rin
nila ang isang kuwento tungkol sa ilang
bayani at isa pa kailangan ay may palayaw
      sila sa Pilipino.

C: Talaga, ano ano naman ang kani-kanilang
      mga palayaw?

N: Emily, Natalie, Gaspar, Graiza, Eri, Ronaldo,
      Rosas, El, John at Marsha.

N: Oh thank goodness, I’ve finished the
      examination of my students.

C: For sure, you’ll have to check a pile
      of papers!

N: Just a little. I only gave them a speaking
      test in Filipino!

C: It seems better to give a speaking test
rather than a writing test. It’s easier.

N: Actually, its difficult because they have to
memorize a story about a national hero
and also they must have a nickname in Filipino!

C: Oh, really... so what are their nicknames?

N: Emily, Natalie, Gaspar Graiza, Eri, El, Rosas,
      Ronaldo, John and Marsha.
