<<<Dialogue>>>

N: Manigong Bagong Taon, Cindy!
C: 2019 na Neriza! Year of the Boar!
     Umuwi ka ba sa Pilipinas?
N: Ang kapatid ko ang nagbalik-bayan.
     Gusto niyang balik-balikan ang
     nakaraan. Nag-reunion sila ng mga
     kaklase niya.
C: Buti pa siya! Magbalik-aral na lang tayo,
     para hindi ako mainggit!
N: Sige na nga! Noong Marso, anong
pagkain ang binili mo noong Setsubun?
C: Madali iyan! Walang iba kundi
     “E-hon makisushi”.
N: Tumpak! At noong Abril, saan gusto ni
Oue-sensei na dalhin mo ang mga
     “ryugakusei“?
C: Naalala ko na! Dalhin ko raw muna sila
sa dormitoryo dahil marami silang dala!
N: Mahusay!! At saan naman gawa ang mga
     bahay at simbahan sa Vigan?
C: Gawa sa bato!! Siyanga pala, ano ang
gawain ng mga tao roon? Pagtatanim ba
     ng tabako?
N: Pati paggawa rin! At ang huling tanong ...
anong mga babasahin ang ipinabasa ko
     sa iyo?
C: Mga nobela at isang aklat...”Bukal” na
     salin ni Dr. Lilia!

N: Happy New Year, Cindy!
C: It’s 2019 already Neriza! The year of the
Boar! Did you go home to the Philippines?
N: My sister went home as a balikbayan.
She wanted to reminisce the past. They had
     a reunion with former classmates.
C: She’s lucky! Let’s just review our lessons
so that I won’t be envious.
N: Ok! Last March, what food did you buy
     for “Setsubun”?
C: That’s easy. Nothing else but e-hon
     makisushi!
N: And in April, where did Oue-sensei want
     you to bring the students?
C. Now, I remember. To the dormitory first
because they had too many luggage!
N: Very good! And what are the houses and
     churches in Vigan made of?
C: Made of stone! By the way, what job do
people do there? Isn’t it planting tobacco?
N: Making tobaccos too! Now, last question...
What reading materials did I ask you to read?
C: Novels and the book “Bukal” translated
     by Dr. Lilia.
