Featuring OPM(Original Pilipino Music)[8.15 tue]

Magandang umaga po!

Original Pilipino Music, more commonly referred to as OPM, a term coined by Danny Javier of the APO Hiking Society, originally referred only to the pop genre of music from the Philippines, mostly ballads, that became popular after the collapse of its predecessor, the Manila sound of the 1970s.

Currently, the term "OPM" has been a catch-all description for all popular music of any genre composed and performed by Filipinos.

N: Naku, masakit kaya iyun.

C: Of course! The topics that we discussed were very
important. I learned a lot from Ms. Pilipina’s lecture on
Labor Documentation in Japan.
N: The topic of Deputy Consul General Mel about the Consular

valuable. The names that he used were humorous...
Palampatetot!
C: Noemi pinched my arm in a fit of laughter.
N. That must be painful.
C: It was indeed a lot of fun and a big help to our
community leaders who attended.
N: We have to be united for the welfare of Filipinos in
Japan.
C: Right! The Filipino workers here in Japan must really
understand the labor laws.
N: Right! We need to hold on to one another, in good times
